The Center for Global Health Practice and Impact (CGHPI) at Georgetown University works with governments and local organizations to co-design interventions that improve their population’s health and wellbeing and safeguard against health-related threats by advancing use of evidence through human-centered design. CGHPI utilises the LISTEN process to address health problems across the continent.
In Kenya CGPHI partnered with NSDCC to implement the LISTEN process. The National Syndemic Diseases Control Council (NSDCC) is a State Corporation established under Section 3 of the State Corporations Act, Cap 446, through the National AIDS Control Council Order, 1999 as amended by legal notice number 143 of 2022. The Council is mandated to manage the following syndemic diseases; HIV, sexually transmitted infections, malaria, leprosy, tuberculosis and lung disease
In Eswatini CGPHI Partnered with Ministry of Health to Implement the LISTEN process. The Health Ministry seeks to improve the health status of the people of Swaziland by providing preventive, promotive, curative and rehabilitative services that are of high quality, relevant, accessible, affordable, equitable and socially acceptable.
CGPHI partnered with Final mile to provide technical assistance on HCD in the LISTEN process in the two countries. Final Mile tackles complex behavioral challenges in public health, financial empowerment, and other issues involving human decisions by creating behavioral science solutions.
