Fisherfolk Community of Practice

Fisherfolk CP is made up of fishermen and women. Its majorly comprises young old men and women who generally earn a living through fishing activities along the shores of Lake Victoria. However, we have youth who are also getting engaged in the economic activity. The economic value of fishing, interaction and the nature of their work justifies their inclusion into the LISTEN as CP. The fisherfolk CP has very well-organized structures through the Beach Management Unit and hence the ability to leverage on. The structures are registered.
