Communities of practice are being established at the community level with the aim of also establishing at the highest level of government ( going up the pyramid) and link them vertically as well as horizontally where necessary. The aim is to utilize leadership and technical experience combining private and public sector experience with communities of practice, data-driven decision-making, and human centered design at each step of the process. To prove that this approach works, the result is the establishment of a process that allows for a “bottom-up” and “top-down” fluid approach to data sharing and implementation.
This approach is not intended to create something new, but rather leverage, strengthen, amplify, and scale those innovations that are already working at a local, regional, and national level. Working in three communities using Human centrered design, the communities were able to identify their challenges and prioritized the ones listed below: –
Poverty/unemployment
Access to clean water
HIV/AIDS
The communities were linked vertically and horizontally in order to explore solutions for the challenges identified.
